Atlanta's Strangest Museum

All major cities have museums, but Atlanta Georgia has one of the strangest ones I have ever seen.

The Center for Puppetry Arts is one of the strangest museums that I have ever seen. I know there are other strange museums out there, like the Liberace Museum in Las Vegas and the Pez Museum in Easton Pennsylvania, but in Atlanta this place wins the title hands down.

When we were there last January, there was a gigantic display of memorabilia from Salem Saberhagen, a cable-controlled cat from theTV series Sabrina the Teenage Witch. This exhibit contained costumes the cat had worn, props the cat had used and even the cat-puppets best performances playing on video screens. I somehow felt like one of the uninitiated that I didn't know or care who this fake black cat was.

Another odd display, The Puppet Storeroom, feels more like a dark closet than an exhibit at a museum.
