In France shadow puppet theater is called ombres chinoise, or Chinese shadows. This puppet is part of the permanent collection at the Atlanta Puppetry Center.

Ombres chinoise is known as the European version of the Chinese shadow-puppet show.

We called him a movie star because that is what he reminded us of.
